E3 2011: Wii Eww

E3 2011, the biggest event in gaming. This years convention brought lots of new exciting announcements. It brought us back to our childhood with new a new Mario, Zelda, Halo, and Resident Evil. It gave us a peak into the future with the Wii U, and 3Ds. It also gave us a massive nerd boner, with booth babes, and the hottest new games. E3 was lots of fun this year, here are likes/dislikes:

Likes:
The Wii U, and the Nintendo press conference. Instead of Nintendo coming out and blowing ass into your ear for a good 2 hours. Nintendo gave gamers what they really wanted, good quality games. New Zelda, Mario, Luigi’s Mansion, Mario Kart, and the biggest one for me personally Smash Bros.
I also am glad to see good solid games get sequels, and maybe a 3rd game added to the series. Games like Far Cry, Luigi’s Mansion, a new Resident Evil, and many other games coming out in the near future.

Dislikes:
Microsoft, and Sony basically coming out and telling everyone to stick something sharp up their ass. They gave us nothing new, with a new Halo. Sony did a little bit of a better job, but Microsoft shit the bed. Kinect, and Move are fun for the 10 minutes you play it before you turn it off to play your regular games, sheesh.
Even though, I said I enjoyed good games getting sequels, I also hate it. No new big IP’s this year. Instead we got our Halo’s, Gears of War, Call of Duty’s, and all that fun stuff. No originality at this years E3, it was a lot of ‘how can I, the game dev, make a simple buck.’

E3 gives us gamers a head start on the years biggest releases. This years E3 was a little below average. Their were definitely some good some good products, and then some repetitive FPS games out there. But E3 delivered in a well run convention… More on these games throughout the entire year.
